Dr Liz Cameron, Scotland’s voice of business, to headline women’s networking lunch

Dr Liz Cameron OBE has been announced as the guest speaker at the Lochaber Chamber of Commerce Women in Business networking lunch on Thursday 12 March 2020

Dr Liz Cameron OBE, Chief Executive of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC), will join businesswomen from across the West Highlands at the Lochaber Chamber of Commerce Women in Business networking lunch at the Moorings Hotel, Banavie, Fort William, from 12:00 until 14:00, on Thursday 12 March 2020.

Following on from the success of their first Women in Business networking lunch, during Lochaber Ideas Week 2019, Lochaber Chamber of Commerce is delighted to host another engaging and sociable event that brings the women of Lochaber together for an inspirational talk and an invaluable networking opportunity over a delicious lunch.

Liz Cameron is a senior business leader with expertise in all areas of business.  With a distinguished career spanning three decades at the forefront of Scottish business, she is widely credited as one of the most influential and powerful forces in Scotland’s business community; recognised for her ‘trailblazing’ contribution to the growth of the sector for the benefit of all. Her unyielding commitment to promoting Scotland as a great place to live, work and study, has inspired and motivated entrepreneurs and business leaders alike and reinvigorated entrepreneurial spirit across Scotland and the UK.

As CEO of the Scottish Chambers, she represents the network of 27 chambers around the country. We’re looking forward to hearing about what inspires and motivates Liz and what she thinks are the key issues for women in business today…and in the future.’

After successfully establishing and running several small businesses, Liz Cameron took the helm of the SCC in 2004.  Through SCC, Liz has spearheaded business growth initiatives including Scotland’s very first education/business partnership, a National Graduate Recruitment Initiative and the innovative International Trade & Exporting Partnership.

On the world stage, Liz has expanded Scotland’s profile internationally, successfully establishing a new Scottish Trade Office in China and building stronger economic relationships with countries from the east to the west.
