Lest We Forget; supporting Pontius Pilate’s Bodyguard
As the oldest Infantry Regiment in the British Army, telling the story of The Royal Scots’ 373 years of unbroken service to the Crown is key to preserving our heritage.
Team 373, a small but very committed team of volunteers, to date has captured in virtual form: the First of Foot’s World War 1 Roll of Honour, the World War 2 Roll of Honour, Regimental Memories of World War 2 Veterans and Regimental Memories from 1945 to 2006 (website – https://www.theroyalscots.co.uk/.
Notwithstanding COVID Lockdown the 1945 to 2006 film was to be launched at the end of April. Looking ahead there was also a Royal Scots 100th birthday to be marked, the 75th anniversary of VE Day to be commemorated and the 80th anniversary of the gallant Royal Scots fighting to the last man at Le Paradis to enable the Dunkirk evacuation to take place in late May 1940.
How was this going to be achieved?
Paddy Cuthbert from Littlehouse Media had been recommended to us to help promote our Regimental stories. He stepped forward on a voluntary basis; his support and guidance was truly outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for Paddy, always just a text or phone call away, combining that with invaluable editorial advice and guidance, based on his wide experiences, meant far greater media penetration was achieved.
Paddy’s knowledge of how to be attractive to the media was invaluable in supporting The Royal Scots in telling our unique Regimental story at an unprecedented time with our country engaged in an ongoing battle with a silent enemy, COVID- 19.
I cannot recommend Paddy highly enough.
