Blind Summit – from 2015

Description

Media Relations and Communication for Blind Summit Theatre

Paddy Cuthbert first worked with us on our production of “Citizen Puppet” at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015. He was delightful to work with and skilled at bringing us very good press coverage on a show that we were still making after the first night. In the true spirit of the Fringe, he came back to see it several times as it developed and kept the press up to date on its development.

Since then we have worked with him on several more productions including “Henry – A Puppet Possessed” at the Edinburgh Fringe, and “Peter and The Wolf” at the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles.

He collaborated for a few years to develop a social media strategy for the company, covering performances of “Madam Butterfly” around the world, and various European tours of “The Table”. In lockdown, he worked to maintain our social media presence with puppet sketches, character sketches, and puppet tips videos.

For me the hardest part of working with a press officer is managing the gap of our expectations, and what is possible. I imagine that the same relationship exists between himself and his press contacts. Paddy does this perfectly. He is always supportive, transparent, and personable. He seems to be very well-connected with the press. He shows great interest in the work itself and has given us very good strategic advice.

I strongly recommend Paddy and hope we will work with him many more times.
